This is one of the basketball shooting drills that we use to help improve three point shooting – usually about 5 minutes AND it is good for conditioning as well. It is called Marshall shooting.
Split the team into 2 groups & start each beyond top of key & each with a basketball.
Players just begin shooting & getting own rebound & going to back of line. When the coach blows the whistle they sprint to opposite right wing & continue shooting, then to opposite left wing, opposite right corner & opposite left corner.
We usually shoot for about 50 seconds from each spot & set a goal of around 200 points team total for entire drill. if they hustle & reach goal, usually we take away some running at the end of practice.
