Last week, I sent out a request for my newsletter subscribers to send in their best drills that use as much of the [tag]basketball court[/tag] as possible. Check out these below sent in by Phil and Kevin (very creative!).
From Phil…
Here is a [tag]basketball[/tag] [tag]drill[/tag] that I use for my team:
Player starts at one corner of the court.
Execute “[tag]Defensive Slide[/tag]” all the way down the sideline to the next corner.
Execute “High Knees” across baseline to next corner.
Execute “Back Pedal” all the way down the sideline to the next corner.
Execute “Sprint” halfway across baseline and then “Jump Stop” then “Sprint” to next corner which was your starting point.
From Kevin…
I do a [tag]player[/tag] of the day at the end of each [tag]practice[/tag] and then they get a reward. (no running, sit out a drill, etc)
I also do the 3 man weave w/ a medicine ball and then a basketball. No [tag]dribbles[/tag] and then a bounce [tag]pass[/tag] and they have to call each other’s name. I hope this helps.
