Take a look at this submission from Meghan. A great example of [tag]basketball defence[/tag] that can work with all age groups.
From Meghan…
A [tag]basketball[/tag] [tag]drill[/tag] that I find really works well for my team is one called the Ontario Drill.
The team lines up along the sideline starting at [tag]half court[/tag].
The [tag]coach[/tag] tosses the ball and the first 2 players in line fight for it and then play 1 on 1.
The next player in line then runs in and touches center court, and plays [tag]defence[/tag] as the 2 players who played one on one come back up the floor for 2 vs 1.
The next 2 in line go to touch center and they then play 3 vs 2 the other way.
Finally, the 2 players who were on defence play 1 vs 1 and the drill repeats.
It’s great to teach the defence how to rotate when a player gets caught up!
