If you’re looking for effective [tag]basketball dribbling drills[/tag], try this one. It’s a [tag]basketball drill[/tag] that I used with“ 1st/2nd graders, BUT it can be used all the way up to high school.
DRIBBLING WHILE LOOKING UP
Form 2 lines, each line with a [tag]basketball[/tag].
First person in each line dribbles up the floor, while focusing on the [tag]basketball coach[/tag].
The coach at some point flashes a number with his fingers.
If either child can’t tell you the number while dribbling, they get eliminated. Next two in line go, etc.
Last one left wins.
In older grades, have the players have a dribble race while looking up at the coach. Then you can have two forms of elimination: loser of the race &/or the player who can’t recite the number of fingers you held up.
