These [tag]basketball drills and plays[/tag] are ones I use often. This is usually a real fast paced game and a lot of fun.  For bigger groups we sometimes only use 2 teams and work on picking off slow and poor passes.

First we split up the team into 2 to 4 teams.  In the gym we have 4 baskets the 2 normal and 2 along one wall.  One team is chosen to start with the [tag]basketball[/tag] out of bounds on the opposite side of the two baskets at half court.

The team is allowed to score at any basket, so the defense must be ready for any move and have good court position awareness.

After a basket is made, the 1st team to rebound the ball (besides the shooting team) inbounds the ball from underneath that basket.  Also, this basket cannot be used to score in on that possession (Once the ball is stolen or is brought to the other side of the court this rule is no longer valid.)

We end up running this [tag]basketball drill[/tag] for about 10 to 15 minutes.  Points come quick and all get involved.

You can also add additional rules such as: shots must be layups only, shots can only come after a pass, no layups, etc.
