I find that the traditional [tag]drills[/tag] for [tag]basketball passing[/tag] get a bit stale. Here’s an idea sent in by Renee that has livened things up quite a bit in my practices.
Passing Drill – Rondo
Put all [tag]basketball[/tag] players in a circle.
Two balls are given to two players right beside each other
First player on right will pass ball to the right skipping player right next to her
Second player with ball will pass to the right skipping player right next to her
Example:“ Player #1 with ball – the passing numbers goes 1-3-5-7-9-2-4-6-8-1
Player #9 with ball – the passing numbers goes 9-2-4-6-8-1-3-5-7-9
The object of this [tag]passing[/tag] [tag]drill[/tag] is for the second players (#9) to pass up the (#1) pass
[tag]Coach[/tag] can add balls to be creative or pass counter clockwise.
