Here are a couple of [tag]basketball practice drills[/tag] I like to use.  One is a pre-game [tag]warm up basketball drill[/tag] I use to get my team thinking about rebounding and being aggressive around the net.

In the pre-game warm up I have 2 lines–one line making layups, the other line getting the rebound.

The girl getting the rebound runs in front of me and has to block me out. That means she has to push hard to stop me from getting the [tag]basketball[/tag].  This [tag]basketball drill[/tag] builds confidence because they can push me and gets them to focus on rebounding!

Another drill that we use is a no dribble drill.
We run a full court weave with 3 players and the ball cannot touch the ground. The variation is that the [tag]basketball coach[/tag] calls out a number between 2 and 5 and that is the number of passes that needs to occur prior to the layup being taken.

simple, but effective in getting players to take what space is available, working on spacing, how to lead player with a pass, and how to stay in control to be ready to put the ball up.
