I got the inspiration for this coaching tip from Les. It includes some fresh ideas on [tag]basketball shooting skills[/tag]. Try it out and let me know what you think!
The fun [tag]basketball[/tag] [tag]drill[/tag] of the season this year is our “spot” shot [tag]shooting[/tag] drill. We have five differant colored spots that we can put on the floor (at differant spots each time) and then we award points for shots made each spot (red=1, yellow=2, blue=3, green=4, orange=5).
So we divide the team up into pairs, give them 1 minute to make as many points as possible according to the rules of the day. This gives me the opportunity to work on shot making from differant places on the floor and the girls the opportunity to work together in “offensive” mode.
“
Example:“ The pair must make one shot from each spot before freelancing for extra points, each shooter must rebound their own shot and pass to the partner at a differant spot, you must make a shot from another location before returning to the same spot.
