I received these suggestions on [tag]basketball shooting tips[/tag] from Jim and Greg in Syracuse NY.
From Jim…
This is a great [tag]conditioning[/tag] [tag]drill[/tag] and simulates game like conditions for [tag]free throw[/tag] shooting.
Divide your team into groups of three. First player shoots 2 free throws, the 2nd player [tag]rebounds[/tag], while the 3rd player runs a lap around the gym. By the time the 2 free throws are shot, the player who was running becomes the shooter. The [tag]shooter[/tag]] becomes the rebounder and the rebounder becomes the runner.
Run this [tag]basketball[/tag] drill for about 10 minutes each practice and I guarantee your players will be better conditioned and“ better free throw shooters.
From Greg…
My drill of choice for my 10 year olds is a weak hand only [tag]]scrimmage[/tag], holding one hand behind their back while dribbling and playing“ “D” using only their off hand, for ball and body control, plus some fun.
