Take a look at these submissions from Keven and from Hayden. Two great ideas for [tag]free basketball drills[/tag] that can work with all age groups.
Here’s a [tag]basketball drill[/tag] for you–my girls call it Dogs, as in fetch.
Start line in baseline corner and roll [tag]basketball[/tag] out to opposite half court corner, players must chase the ball down before it reaches half court, pick up & speed dribble back with layup in under 6 seconds.
Repeat if missed layup or not done in tme. Adjust time based on skill level. Switch sides. Repeat at full court in under 11 seconds.
My favorite basketball drill is the three man weave.
You know when you pass the ball to the player on the other side but make it interesting. Add a defender and make them work on making precise passes and the defender learns to recover and guard a fast break.
You can also add another defender to make it more challenging.
