I’ve gotten a whole bunch of requests for [tag]free basketball shooting tips[/tag] over the past few days. Here’s a [tag]basketball[/tag] [tag]drill[/tag] that Terry sent in. Check out the [tag]conditioning[/tag] tips from Shannon.
FOCUS: FREE THROW SHOOTING
I have my 8-10 and 10-12 girls shoot for the rim to help with [tag]shooting[/tag] touch.
If the ball hits the backboard first or is an air ball they have to run laps.
Our [tag]free throw[/tag] shooting has gotten better.
I’ve found that the season can be quite long and demanding for the kids I coach. Naturally it can take it’s toll on them physically and you have to watch the balance between working them too hard or not hard enough.
To help with the physical demands, to build physical stamina and [tag]core strength[/tag], we do 15 minutes of core work out and calisthenics each practice–push ups, crunches, medicine ball toss and stretch, “wall sits”, duck walk, and flexibility (almost Yoga like moves).
