“Spread and Space” Team Offense Drill
One way you can teach younger players is to drill them on skills, and then play games with those skills later. With younger players, its better to play a modified game that points out what you’re trying to achieve.
In this team offense drill, our focus is team offense spread and space. You can play a modified game of 3 on 3 on half court, where the players have to pass 3 times before they can score. Players work on their passing while keeping 10 to 15 feet apart from their team mate, which culminates in this fast-paced, communication-building practice drill!
