Today, I’m going to share with you a great drill to do during basketball practice, before a game, or that you can have your players do at home.

This drill can be done as an individual workout during basketball practice or at home. The goal is for the player to make a minimum of ten shots from all three spots.

Spot #1 is out of the “triple threat” position.

Spot #2 is from further back.

And spot #3 is even further back, near the three-point line.

During basketball practice, remind your players to jump stop, pivot, and stop in the triple threat position. They should approach this shooting drill as if it were a game situation. They should work on shooting the ball the same way every single time–never in a hurry, and always in control.

What do you think about this drill? Will you be using it at your next basketball practice?
