In today’s video blog post, we are going to talk about another great defensive drill – the “1 on 1 Free Throw Lane” Defensive Drill. It’s one-on-one between the free throw lane extended (not the free throw line extended).
“1 on 1 Free Throw Lane” Defensive Drill
This defensive drill is done for two reasons. We want to be able to penetrate, but we also want to be able to make sure that we’ve got our eyes open and see all of our entry passes in our four-up offense. So if we turn our back, we’ve lost momentary on our teammates. So this drill is to stay within this free throw lane here, extended, and this free throw lane here, extended, and make it a one-on-one drill. It’s an excellent defensive drill as well.
