This is a good drill to get warmed up as it makes them practice passing, catching, and making layups at game speed.

Warm Up Practice Drill
Have one player with a ball stand under each main basket.  To start, the player at each main basket throws the ball off the glass, rebounds, and turns to their left for an outlet pass to a man standing out of bounds, Free Throw line extended.

The player who originally rebounded the ball runs up the floor and receives the pass back.  He then quickly throws a touch pass to a man standing at half court, facing the sideline.

The ball gets thrown back to the player once again, and he turns up the floor and throws a touch pass to a man standing out of bounds, Free Throw Line extended at the other end of the floor.

The player standing out of bounds throws a bounce pass for a layup.

This entire set of events is happening on the other side of the floor simultaneously.  Also, Once a passer throws it back to the man running down the floor, they follow their pass and go to the next line.  The player who throws the bounce pass follows, grabs the ball out of the net, and throws to the man standing on the other side of the floor out of bounds Free Throw line extended.

You can have them switch directions so they are finishing with both hands, do reverse layups, shots in transition.  Fit it to meet your needs. “  Enjoy!
